We are welcoming our newest Expert, Diane Tomaz. Diane will be our new go-to voice for all of your questions on foster care and adoption.
Diane currently serves as Director of Family Support Services for the Massachusetts Adoption Resource Exchange (MARE), where she is responsible for developing and implementing services for prospective adoptive families from their first contact with MARE to the placement of a child in their home. She works to recruit all kinds of families who could make wonderful parents to children of all ages, races, and needs. In addition, Diane has partnered with a local adoption agency to offer instruction to families on the topics of attachment, loss, trauma and behaviors as they relate to children in foster care.
Diane and her partner adopted two boys through the foster to adopt program and she is personally and professionally committed to supporting other LGBTQ families. She and her family look forward to attending Family Week in Provincetown again this summer!
