Dr. Bar-Chama is a board certified urologist who received his medical degree with special distinction for research in male infertility and also completed his urology residency at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. In 1993, Dr. Bar-Chama was awarded the prestigious New York Academy of Medicine F.C. Valentine Fellowship and received subspecialty training in male reproductive medicine and surgery at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.

In 1998, he received the Pfizer Scholars in Urology Award for leadership, innovation, and outstanding achievement in urological science. Since 2005, Dr. Bar-Chama has been listed each year as one of the "Best Doctors in New York" by New York Magazine.
