Biography

Rachel Hoffman is the founder of KinFormation Families, LLC, a consulting service that helps families who face challenges having children create successful paths to parenthood. She is the author of the upcoming book, The Lucky Ones: The Complete Inclusive Guide to Having Your Family Now, a comprehensive manual on achieving parenthood, featuring in-depth “Handbooks” on fertility treatment, adoption, surrogacy and donation, and ten intimate profiles of families.

Rachel began her career as an architect and businesswoman. She was also one of thousands of infertility sufferers riding the roller coaster of hope and disappointment. After giving birth to her own “miracle baby” through IVF, she turned to writing, focusing on the experiences of alternative families. Many described feeling overwhelmed and isolated as they faced the emotional, physical, financial and legal challenges of achieving parenthood.

Rachel’s research included interviews with dozens of fertility doctors, oncologists, urologists, adoption professionals, attorneys, surrogacy and donation agencies, psychotherapists and holistic practitioners. This knowledge was quickly put to use, as friends and relatives of the families she had profiled for The Lucky Ones began seeking her advice about forming their own families.

Rachel’s company, KinFormation Families, was created to provide prospective parents with knowledge, assurance and concrete solutions. First, Rachel takes time to get to know each client, exploring their goals and dreams, their priorities, boundaries and budget. Then she thoroughly describes the pros and cons of each potential path to parenthood. Finally, she helps each client create a unique, comprehensive family plan, complete with referrals to top professionals. Offering in depth knowledge, compassionate support, and personalized solutions, Rachel helps families feel empowered and secure on the most important journey of their lives.
