IZETTA SIEGAL STERN, LCSW is a psychotherapist with a general practice that encompasses a full range of emotional issues and life situations.    Since l986, one of her major areas of specialization has been counseling with individuals and couples facing fertility challenges.

She has continually facilitated in-person support groups sponsored by Path2Parenthood since the organization’s inception and for a number of years prior to that, did so in other settings. She currently facilitates a Mind/Body support group for women pursuing IVF. She has co- facilitated several  telecoaching support group sessions for Path2Parenthood, the latest of which was on "Getting Pregnant Over 40". In addition, Ms. Stern addresses issues pertaining to stress reduction, the decision making steps involved in fertility treatment, the transition to other family building pathways, becoming an empowered self- advocate, secondary infertility, pregnancy, high risk pregnancy, postpartum and parenting following infertility and or pregnancy loss.  She  works with those who pursue traditional fertility treatment, as well as with those who are interested to incorporate integrative approaches.  Ms. Stern has been a speaker at national fertility conferences and has presented on topics including, A Mind-Body Approach to Support Fertility, Resolving Partner Differences in Family Building and Moving Forward After Pregnancy Loss.

Biography

Jeannine Zoppi, Ph.D is a Clinical Psychologist licensed in New Jersey and New York. Dr. Zoppi received her doctorate from Seton Hall University and completed post-doctoral internship and fellowship training at the Karen Horney Institute. She has a private practice in Caldwell, NJ where she treats adults, adolescents and children.

Dr. Zoppi’s specialties include psychotherapy for adoption issues, trauma, PTSD, adult survivors of childhood abuse, depression and anxiety. She also provides group therapy for adoption-related issues, including an adoptive-parent support group and group therapy for adoptees. Her services include pre-adoption psychological evaluations, attachment/bonding assessments, parenting capacity evaluations and training and education for adoptive parents and adoption professionals. Dr. Zoppi has presented on the topic of adoption at various local and national conferences, including those sponsored by the National Council for Adoption, the Adoption Initiative, American Adoption Congress,  Adoptive Parents Committee and Concerned Persons for Adoption. She is actively involved in the New Jersey Psychological Association (NJPA), currently serving as 2014 NJPA President-Elect.  Dr. Zoppi is also a member of the American Psychological Association’s Leadership Institute for Women in Psychology Class of 2011-2012.

Her many years as a Medical Social Worker have evolved into a specialty helping people cope with medical conditions and subsequent feelings of loss and control. Jill's expertise and empathy is borne out of the experience she has had dealing with her personal struggles and triumphs with infertility, pregnancy loss and child bearing. Biography

 

Joann Paley Galst is a founding member of Path2Parenthood and a former member of the Board of Directors. She is currently the Co-director of Path2Parenthood Support Services and Chair of the Path2Parenthood Mental Health Advisory Council. She is also a past Chair of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine Mental Health Professional Group.

Dr. Galst received her doctorate at Columbia University Teachers College, receiving a National Institute of Mental Health Graduate Fellowship, and obtained her undergraduate education at the University of Wisconsin where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. She has taught at both the college and graduate school levels and worked as the staff psychologist at the Fertility Research Foundation. She is a licensed psychologist in New York with over 20 years of experience specializing in mind-body medicine and reproductive health issues, including infertility, pregnancy loss, and pregnancy and parenting after infertility and third party reproduction.
