Carolyn Berger, LCSW, is the Founding Board Chair of Path2Parenthood. She is currently an active Board Member and Chair of the Adoption Advisory Council.
She has a private practice in Manhattan and Larchmont, NY, where she helps couples, singles and members of the LGBT community create families both through fertility treatment and adoption.
Carolyn works closely with fertility doctors, complementary and alternative medicine specialists, and adoption agencies/attorneys. She helps her clients find the professionals who are right for them.
Carolyn’s decision to help people struggling to build families came from her own experience with infertility. Her family was created through fertility treatment and adoption. She has spoken and written widely on both adoption and infertility.
Chana has worked with children, adults, couples and families since 1974. In addition to her psychotherapy practice, she is also a group and workshop leader.
In the course of her 34 years of clinical practice, she has completed advanced clinical training programs in: Fertility Focused Psychotherapy, Couples and Family Therapy, Child and Adolescent Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Mind/body Skills Groups, Becoming a Cancer Guide, Sex Therapy, Healing Sexual Abuse, Neurofeedback. Cheryl Farole-Roman is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Certified Psychoanalyst, with a private practice in Tustin, CA. She has more than 15 years of clinical experience providing individual, couples and group psychotherapy. Motivated originally by her own personal experience with infertility, Cheryl has developed a special interest and specialty in helping people cope with the challenges of fertility treatment, pregnancy loss, adoption, pregnancy and parenting.
Cheryl received undergraduate and master’s degrees from California State University Fullerton, both in Kinesiology, emphasizing Sports Psychology and Stress Management. She continued her education at CSUF and received a master’s degree in Counseling. After licensure and establishing a psychotherapy private practice, Cheryl went on to study Psychoanalysis at Newport Psychoanalytic Institute where she received her Doctorate of Psychology in Psychoanalysis and became board certified as a Psychoanalyst.
Cheryl is continuing her professional growth in the area of infertility as a member of The American Society of Reproductive Medicine, ASRM’s Mental Health Professional Group, Path2Parenthood and Resolve.
