Dr. Silvia Schneider Fox is a Chicago clinical psychologist, specializing in reproductive health since 1992. Her clinical practice is devoted to counseling and supporting individuals and couples during all stages of family-building, including third-party reproduction, pregnancy loss, and parenting after infertility. Dr. Fox facilitates Mind/Body For Fertility programs which help women manage stress while increasing their treatment success. She screens ovum donors and gestational carriers, consults with recipient couples and reports to medical professionals and independent agencies.
Dr. Fox has widely researched, written and presented on topics related to family-building. A professional member of RESOLVE since 1995, she served as its Illinois Director of Support Services, authored a regular "Ask the Expert" column and was a keynote speaker at its symposia and programs. Since 2010, Dr. Fox has been traveling the country, educating dozens of Reproductive Endocrinology practices on the emotional aspects of infertility.
Finally, Dr. Fox has her own experience with infertility. Her long journey to parenthood has deepened her understanding of the challenges others face in the process of building their own families. Nowadays, she combines her personal, research and clinical experience into one voice, put into words on her Fertility Resilience blog.
